A Special Invitation to Help Secure the Future of AIA
Major gifts help the Albuquerque International Association have the resources to plan its ongoing schedule of stimulating lectures, educational outreach programs, international travel opportunities, and special events – as well as fund operating expenses. In order to continue these programs and plan for the future, AIA needs a secure financial footing. To accomplish this, the Board of Directors offers its Major Gifts Program as a donations option for its supporters.
The concept is simple: Those of us who get so much, intellectually, culturally and socially, from the association are joining together to contribute $2,500 or more apiece to create a solid base. These major gifts can be pledged over as many as five years. Thus, $500 a year constitutes a $2,500 gift; $2,000 a year constitutes $10,000.
Made through AIA’s umbrella, the Center for International Studies, a 501(c)3 organization, contributions to the Major Gifts Program are tax deductible for most donors. Major gifts to CFIS/AIA can also be made through the United Way of Central New Mexico. Making your gift in the form of appreciated stock may magnify its impact by allowing you to avoid capital gains tax.
